Prelude :- Social Science Text book in 7'th standard in kerala.
Much issues are spread out on this text book.
The arguments are around the line "Matham vendennu chertholu", in the chapter "Mathamillatha Jeevan".
But the actual marxist strategy is in the next line "Jathio ? athum Venda".
Marxist leaders are very careful that s/c-s/t's in kerala should never search for the actual reasons of their backwardness.

I'm afraid the observation about "jathiyo? Athum venda.." in the 7th std text is a little out of context..there are lots of people who would sincerely wish their childern to live in a society without caste. This is especially true for people of atheist communities with upper caste background who neither are entitled to any benefits of reservation nor do desire for snatching such benefits from from the BCs SCs or STs ..
Hence, to suggest that (at least in the situation of the text)what the marxists really wanted was to deflect the SCs and STs away from the path of search for finding out the actual reasons of backwardness is a little far fetched and totally lacking the rationale.
Besides, does one really need to live with a caste identity to search/ understand the actual reasons of their backwardness? If this logic were acceptable to Dr Ambedkar,he could perhaps never have walked out of Hinduism and become a Buddhist!
